Age: 36

Home: Orland Park, Illinois

Occupation: Law enforcement

How many days a year do you hunt? 25-50

Favorite piece of gear? The bow. It is challenging and rewarding to harvest an animal by getting that close to one.

Gear you splurged on? Scent-lock RedHead camo clothing. It is a must in the field. If they smell you the hunt is over.

Most memorable outing in Illinois? The day I hunted with my son Caden for the first time. We saw a deer to shoot but he passed. The experience of sitting with him in an API double ladder stand was priceless. I videotaped the whole thing and we will have it forever. (Has also shot the 160-inch LaSalle County buck pictured above in 2005)

What got you interested in hunting? My good friend Rich Josepher.

How long have you been hunting? 15 years

Favorite species to hunt? The white tailed deer. I love the fact that I can hunt for three months straight. Great animal!

What breed hunting dog do you have? Don't have one yet.....

Favorite places to hunt in Illinois? Bureau County
